Resume and a cover letter

My first major assignment was to create  a resume and a cover letter. Since it was my first time doing both, I was able to start creating these important documents early on, which could be very helpful in the future. Through this assignment I was able to learn the significance of using the key words in order to get the attention of the potential employer. It is really important for you to know who your targeted audience is because understanding their expectations can significantly make your resume more appealing to them. I was also able to make a great use of the technology available, where I found multiple templates which guided me to make a flawless resume. The final part of the assignment required looking for internships which was helpful for me as I used them as checkpoints to assess my own qualifications. This helped me to find any gaps and modify it with relevant experiences to improve my resume and cover letter.

Dice rolling probability

The Dice rolling probability was the second most important assignment of this semester. Which assignment provided valuable insights into probability and data analysis skills while helping me improve my technical writing skills as well. For this assignment I had to tool the dice 100 times allowing me to synthesize data effectively, organizing results into clear tables and visualizing them through bar graphs. For this assignment technology, like spreadsheets, enhanced the clarity of the analysis that I did . I also practiced information literacy by researching and incorporating findings from Lukaac Stanislav’s study on dice probability, enriching my understanding of probability distributions. Revising the report taught me the importance of drafting for clarity and precision, even though I did not have to present this lab report focusing on the audience, ensuring the report was accessible to readers without prior knowledge of probability. My understanding of the useful uses of statistics has grown as a result of this assignment, which also allows me to confidently face related assignments or a real life situation in future.

Group proposal

The group project was the third project which,  helped me understand the importance of collaboration and how teamwork can lead to creative and practical solutions. I usually have a hard time connecting with other people. Thanks to this project I was able to improve my skills.Working with my group to propose the student the student center helped me to improve my skills in drafting the information  and reading complex documents, ensuring that each section—from the introduction to the construction plan—was cohesive and polished. Synthesis was really important for this project, because I had to combine a lot of information such as survey results, cost analysis, and student feedback, into my project. Additionally, presenting the proposal required keeping the audience in mind, i had to come up with the reasoning based on the students needs. This project helped me deepened my understanding of the, challenges that are in our campus, and it also inspired me to look at other things within our community that needs to be improved. Overall due to this project i was able to improve a lot.

Technical description

The last major assignment for this class was the technical description. I did my project on  self-driving vehicles. This description helped me with a lot of the skills, to understand better and the right use of it. Through this project I was able to  improve my information literacy skills by using scholarly articles to research the history, features, and impacts of self-driving cars. This project also required me to provide APA citation, as I had to do a lot of research for this to properly credit my sources, which also made my work more professional. I also had to focus on audience awareness, making the information more understandable for the people who are not familiar with the terms. To present this information properly I had to practice a lot making sure the information is delivered and received clearly. Overall this helped me improve my research skills, and taught me how to communicate using technical concepts, which will be really important for my engineering career.
